ZOILA TORRES FELDMAN, president and CEO of Great Brook Valley Health Center of Worcester, will leave her post in October to pursue other challenges in public health after 26 years. Feldman will step down as CEO on May 1, but will continue to serve as president through September 30. Leah Gallivan, vice president for operations, will serve as interim CEO.
JOHN DELLISANTI has joined Hopkinton-based Caliper Life Sciences Inc. as executive vice president and chief commercial officer. He will lead Caliper's commercial operations which include the company's worldwide sales, marketing and services efforts.
Prior to joining Caliper, DelliSanti led the Americas commercial operations at Invitrogen Corp.
JAN SCOTT, Clinton Savings Bank business development coordinator, was presented with the 2007 Outstanding Professional Award at the 92nd Annual Meeting of the Wachusett Chamber of Commerce and Business Awards. She was chosen for the award based on numerous nominations from chamber members who believed she thoroughly met the award criteria which includes demonstration of outstanding community leadership, professional excellence, and displaying consistent, tangible efforts toward improving the greater Wachusett area.
Brighton House Associates LLC of Hopkinton has appointed MARC AVILA as chief technical officer. In his post, Avila is responsible for the continued development and evolution of the SaleDesk hedge fund CRM platform, including system design, technical support and management of a team of software developers. Prior to his appointment, he was co-founder and CEO of 3 Media Web Solutions in Shrewsbury.
NISHA KOSHY COCCHIARELLA, an attorney with the law firm of Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple in Worcester, has been named a 2007 Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Montachusett Council. The award is given out annually and recognizes women for showing exceptional dedication to her profession, being an inspiration to her co-workers and positively affecting her community. Cocchiarella's practice focuses on civil litigation.
Workers' Credit Union in Fitchburg elected four directors. The membership re-elected to three-year terms, which expire in 2010 were: T. The Anna Maria College Board of Trustees has elected JACK CALARESO as the 10th president of Anna Maria College. Calareso's career in higher education spans more than 20 years and includes extensive teaching and administrative experience. Most recently, he served as the 13th president of Ohio Dominican University, a liberal arts institution in Columbus, Ohio.
ROBERTO DIAS has been named executive chef for VIA, a new Italian restaurant at 89 Shrewsbury St. in Worcester. Dias has many years of experience at some of Boston's top restaurants, has been a chef at The Sole Proprietor for the past three years. Before joining The Sole, Dias served as a chef at Maruccio's in Boston's North End for seven years.
WENDY LANCEY has been promoted to senior director of critical care services at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. In her new role she will oversee the operations of the hospital's Critical Care and Pulmonary Care Centers. Most recently she served as the director of the intensive care unit at the hospital and prior to that as the critical care educator for more than 13 years. PAUL MACKINNON has been promoted to vice president patient care services at Saint Vincent Hospital. He will be responsible for emergency services, psychiatric services, the center for women and infants, the endoscopy unit, hemodialysis, the nursing office, the nursing center for practice and education, administrative coordinators, the nursing float pool, the iv team, the iv infusion center, and bed management. He most recently served as senior nursing director of specialty services at the hospital.
The YMCA of Greater Worcester has appointed DAVID CONNELL as executive director of the Central Community Branch on Main St. In his new post, Connell will direct all daily operations of the branch. He has more than 20 years experience in the human services and financial services fields, having served as senior vice president at both Citizens Bank and FleetBoston Financial. Most recently, he served on the board of directors at both the Cambridge Family YMCA and Adolescent Counseling Services, and also was chairman of the board for the Martin Luther King Jr. Business Empowerment Center in Worcester.
VALERIE MULVEY and JOHN FERRIE have joined the board of directors of the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. Mulvey is currently the town clerk in Framingham, and an attorney. She also served as interim town manager in Framingham from February to June 2006. Ferrie is the vice president of human resources at Bose Corp. in Framingham. In addition to directing human resources, Mr. Ferrie has also provided oversight for facilities, asset protection, internal communications and administration at Bose.
JAMES A. CRUICKSHANK has resigned as executive director of Oak Hill Community Development Corp., effective April 27. His past eight years with Oak Hill have included the establishment of the NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center of Worcester in 2004. A search committee has been formed by the board of directors to advertise the opening left by his departure.
Courtyard by Marriott Marlboro named JENNIFER A. GRIFFITHS as catering sales manager. Her responsibilities will include developing and maintaining new accounts to maximize hotel profit while maintaining guest satisfaction. She has most recently served as event service manager at Clark University in Worcester and has held positions at Old Sturbridge Village and Fairy Tale Weddings at Walt Disney World Resort.
DAVID WEITZ has been appointed the applied building science director at Conservation Services Group of Westboro. He will be responsible for overseeing general technical consistency among all of CSG's building programs and the establishment of company-wide uniform technical standards, policies and procedures. He also oversees the development and delivery of internal and external technical training. Weitz has most recently served as executive director of the building codes assistance project, has served as project manager in the new construction division at CSG and was energy code coordinator with the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
The City of Worcester's Administrative Officers' Association has named a new executive committee. New members include: President JAMES GARDINER, acting commissioner of health and human services; Vice President MICHAEL E. TRAYNOR, deputy city solicitor; Secretary JOSEPH F.
