DCU Center recognized as a prime site

Worcester's DCU Center was awarded a 2007 Prime Site award from Facilities and Destinations Magazine, according to officials from Philadelphia-based SMG, the company that manages the Worcester arena and convention center.
The DCU center was one of 27 SMG-managed properties to earn recognition from the magazine.
The awards were voted on by meeting planners from associations, corporations and other organizations and took into account venue quality, features and services, according to SMG.
The DCU center is owned by the City of Worcester and opened in 1997.
