Executives Tuned In

Senior executives and managers haven't given up on the radio in favor of the iPod, according to a recent survey from Madbury, N.H.-based NFI Research.

More than 70 percent of executives and managers spend up to an hour getting to and from work each day, and nearly 50 percent reported that during that drive time they're listening to news/talk radio. Thirty-six percent of respondents said they spend their time behind the wheel "thinking."

Interestingly, the higher up on the corporate ladder the executive, the shorter the commute time, according to the survey. Twenty-one percent of senior executives commute more than one hour compared to 37 percent of managers.
