The leadership shakeup at Definitive Healthcare has spread to its board of directors, as Jill Larsen has stepped down from her role on the Framingham health data and technology firm’s board.

Larsen’s resignation, effective Monday, was due to an increase in responsibility at her employer and was not related to any disagreements with Definitive Healthcare, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Larsen serves as chief people officer at Synopsys, a California-based software company she began working at in July 2023, according to Definitive Healthcare’s website.

Larsen’s resignation decreased Definitive Healthcare’s board from 10 to nine members and left the chair position of the company’s human capital management and compensation committee vacant. Definitive Healthcare has thus named board member Scott Stephenson to the role.

Stephenson joined the tech firm’s board shortly after Larsen in September 2023. He most recently worked as chairman, president, and CEO of Verisk Analytics, an analytic insights firm out of New Jersey, where he worked for 21 years until 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The turnover on Definitive Healthcare’s board comes as the company has been undergoing a leadership overhaul since January 2024.

Most recently, the company eliminated its COO role, terminating former Kate Shamsuddin Jensen from the position. Less than a year prior, Carrie Lazorchak resigned from her role as chief revenue officer, and the company no longer includes the position on its website.

On June 1, the company’s CFO Richard Booth stepped down as part of a termination without cause, with Casey Heller succeeding him on June 2.

At the beginning of last year, the firm’s CEO and board member Robert Musslewhite resigned from his leading roles. He was succeeded briefly by Definitive Healthcare’s Founder Jason Krantz on an interim basis before Kevin Coop was named its permanent CEO and began his tenure on June 24, 2024.
