Gas Prices Up 4 Cents

Gas prices in Massachusetts rose for the second consecutive week, increasing 4 cents, to $3.45 per gallon this week, according to AAA Southern New England.

Locally, prices for self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline are down 2 cents over the past month, but are 16 cents higher than the national average of $3.29. A year ago, the average price in the Bay State was $3.37 per gallon.

The range is 72 cents, from a low of $3.27 to a high of $3.99.

The cost of a gallon of diesel fuel was up 2 cents, to $4.05.
