GDP Growth Slows In Q1

The national economy grew at an annual rate of 2.7 percent in the first quarter, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

The increase in gross domestic product (GDP), the output of goods and services produced by labor and property in the United States, is compared to the fourth quarter of 2009, the bureau said.

During the fourth quarter, GDP increased 5.6 percent.
