HR, sales among top five fields for entry-level jobs

Maynard-based online career and recruitment company Monster Worldwide’s college-specific division, MonsterTRAK, today announced the top five industries for entry-level employment, based on the number of job opportunities posted to the site.
The top five occupations are: Business operations, HR and financial services, posting nearly one fourth of all opportunities for entry-level workers; sales and marketing, the most rapidly growing segment; architecture and engineering, particularly naval architects and marine engineers; computer, IT and mathematical, which grew 18 percent over last year; and office, administrative and customer support.
Founded in 1987 and acquired by Monster in 2000, MonsterTRAK says it prepares college students for the job market.
