Incomes, Spending Flat In July

Personal income increased less than 0.1 percent, or $3.8 billion, and disposable personal income decreased by a similar amount in July, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Personal consumption expenditures increased $25.0 billion, or 0.2 percent, after decreasing by $133.4 billion, or 1.1 percent in June.

Real disposable income decreased 0.1 percent in July, compared with a decrease of 1.6 percent in June.
