Index: EMC Open About Environmental Impact

Hopkinton-based information technology company EMC Corp. has been recognized for thorough climate change disclosures by the Carbon Disclosure Project.
For the second consecutive year, EMC has been included on the CDP's Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index. The index is compiled for the CDP by PricewaterhouseCoopers and recognizes companies that "have displayed the most professional approach to corporate governance" with regard to openness in environmental impact disclosures.
The index is used as an evaluation tool by institutional investors and includes 34 "non-carbon-intensive" companies like EMC, and 33 companies from "carbon-intensive" sectors.
