Patricia Iurato was named director of business sales for the New England Region at Verizon Wireless in Meriden. Prior to this promotion, Iurato was associate director of business-to-business sales operations at the company. Alan Carpenter was promoted to director of Verizon Wireless Communications stores for Northern New England. Iurato replaced Carpenter in his previous position.
Kosovsky, Pratesi & Co. hired Gina Arcand as accountant in the Farmington office. Arcand was formerly senior accountant for Alstom Power Inc. and financial analyst at Northeast Utilities.
Noreen Buss will be responsible for all client services at Ovation Benefits Group in Farmington as vice president of client services. Her position involves an expansion of responsibilities as she oversees small group, mid-market, large group and public sector teams.
Legrand North America in West Hartford appointed Halsey Cook president of the electrical wiring systems division. Cook was previously president of the residential and light commercial systems division at Carrier.
Robert E. Koorse was hired as a specialist in internal medicine at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. Koorse was most recently emergency department physician at Windham Hospital.
Murtha Cullina in Hartford hired the following as associates: Debbie C. Albrecht, Meredith C. Burns, Christopher R. Drake, and Cherie G. Phoenix. Albrecht recently received her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Burns was formerly judicial intern for Judith Fabricant, associate justice at Middlesex Superior Court. Drake was previously a judicial clerk for Judge Thomas P. Smith in the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. Phoenix recently received her law degree from Pace University Law School.
The Bank of Western Massachusetts appointed Peg LaCapruccia vice president, small business lender/market manager in their Enfield office. LaCapruccia was previously vice president at Sovereign Bank.
Whittlesey & Hadley in Hartford hired Bryan Jambard as staff auditor. Jambard recently received a degree in accounting from Bryant University.
The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. hired Brant Walker and Eileen Foley Allgrove as vice presidents and portfolio managers. Walker is vice president and senior director. He was formerly senior vice president at U.S. Trust. Allgrove is vice president and director. She was a senior client relationship officer at U.S. Trust before joining the company.
Bridgeport Fittings named Eric Cerasale technical sales manager. Cerasale was formerly sales representative at WESCO.
