Unemployment rates fell in 19 of the state's 22 labor markets in April, according to the state Office of Labor and Workforce Development.
All of the state's job areas added jobs in the construction, leisure and hospitality and professional, scientific and business services industries.
Worcester's unemployment rate fell from 9.8 percent in March to 9.6 percent. In the Leominster-Fitchburg-Gardner area, the jobless rate fell from 12 percent to 11.6 percent.
Framingham's rate inched down from 7.3 percent to 7.2 percent, the lowest rate of any of the state's labor markets.
The markets with the greatest unemployment rates in April were the Lawrence-Methuen-Salem market and the New Bedford market. Each ended the month with 12.8 percent unemployment.
The state's overall unemployment rate in April was 9.1 percent. In March it was 9.3 percent.
