Kohl’s To Open Sept. 26 In Worcester
Kohl’s Department Stores will hold a grand opening for its new Worcester store on Sept. 26, the retailer announced.
The 10 Country Club Blvd. store is the company’s 24th in Massachusetts. It will create approximately 125 jobs, Kohl’s said. The store is one of 12 the company is opening this fall.
The stores will have newly designed shopping carts, updated check-out stations, electronic signs and wireless internet for customers.
The Worcester store was built according to a prototype that received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The certification required recycled and regionally-sourced building materials, water-efficient landscaping and plumbing, fresh air ventilation and an Energy Star-rated roof.
