Lanza honored by pharma journal

Robert Lanza, vice president of research and scientific development at Worcester's Advanced Cell Technology Inc., has been called one of the 100 most inspiring people in the life sciences industry in a cover story in the current issue of PharmaVOICE.
PharmaVOICE said it recognized Lanza for forging ahead with embryonic stem cell research despite attacks from "political and religious establishments."
Lanza believes treatments using human embryonic stem cells have the potential to eventually offer not just treatments, but actual cures for Parkinson's disease, macular degeneration, heart disease, and a whole host of other debilitating diseases.
