Lawyers take on more work

Business is booming for law firms, according to a recent survey from Robert Half Legal.

Half, an international staffing agency, said 69 percent of lawyers polled said their firms were handling more projects and cases compared to a year ago.

Only 6 percent said their workloads had decreased.

According to Half, companies have more work for law firms, and are looking to outside counsel to take on a growing volume of casework in everything from litigation to patent and copyright cases to real estate and mergers.

Half surveyed 150 attorneys at some of the largest firms in the U.S. and Canada.
