Local cos. awarded for supply chain innovation
Supply & Demand Chain Executive, a magazine focusing on end-to-end supply chain and demand chain management, has named two local firms to its "Executive 100" list of companies for their innovations and technology.
Kewill Solutions in Marlboro was nominated for its software that focuses on global trading communities, and for offering tools that specialize in transportation management, international trade logistics, and visibility solutions.
In Framingham, the Staples Contract Division received the nod for its e-Procurement innovator. The software aims to assist customers in generating the lowest delivered cost possible.
The magazine selects companies based on not only their ability to deliver cutting-edge products, but also for targeting "pain points" that afflict supply chain managers, and developing products that address those issues.
