Lucky 13 for Destination Worcester

Destination Worcester, an organization formed to increase tourism in the city, will be run by a 13-member board of directors.
The directors are city employees, hotel and restaurant operators and event planners.
Destination Worcester is part of the city's effort so increase tourism, lure more conventions and attract high-profile events to the city. The organization's board will be headed by interim chairman Michael V. O'Brien, city manager.
The board includes:
Erin Williams, city of Worcester
David Forsberg, Worcester Business Development Corp
Sandra Dunn, DCU Center
Richard Kennedy, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce
Michael Covino, Block 5 and Bocado
Dennis Irish, Sports Advisory Group
Daniel Verrico, Central MA Convention and Visotors Bureau
Paula Lawrence, Crowne Plaza
Tom Plunkett, Hilton Garden Inn
Mark Waxler, Beechwood Hotel
Kate McEvoy-Zdonczyk, Fallon Community Health Plan
Mark Bilotta, Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc.
