Marlborough Co. Brings Mobile Info To Remote Health Workers

Physicians Interactive Holdings, a Marlborough-based health care information company, is joining with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights to launch a medical reference system aimed at health care workers operating in underserved parts of the world.

The company says the new offering, Health eVillages, provides mobile clinical tools for medical training, diagnostics and clinical references.

Health eVillages will provide mobile phones and handheld devices to health care professionals working in poor areas. The devices will be preloaded with drug guides, medical alerts, journal summaries and references.

Pilot projects using the system have been completed in areas such as Haiti, Kenya and Uganda.
