Marlborough’s TASI Group acquires German firm

Marlborough manufacturing support company TASI Group has acquired Cassel Messtechnik GmbH of Hanover, Germany, in a move the Massachusetts company says will allow it to expand its global product testing segment.
TASI announced the acquisition on Friday, reporting Cassel and its 60 employees would be integrated into TASI Group. According to Kris Fairfield, president of TASI Packaging Integrity, the acquisition strengthens and expands TASI Group’s position by offering a line of metal detectors and packaging x-ray machines.
The price of the acquisition was not disclosed.
The TASI Group is based in Marlborough, although the company has multiple divisions around the world. These include SignalFire Wireless Telemetry, which is also based in Marlborough.
