MassHousing Loans $28.6M For Framingham Public Housing

The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency says it will loan the Framingham Housing Authority $28.6 million to renovate a public housing development.

The 11-building, 110-apartment complex, formerly known as the Pearl Harbor Apartments, will be renovated, modernized and renamed The Musterfield at Concord Place.

MassHousing said the housing authority should be able to repay the loan through modernization funds from the Department of Housing and Community Development and tax credits.

The project will expand the size of the units, modernize and enlarge kitchen and dining areas, remediate lead paint and asbestos issues and replace electric, plumbing and heating systems.
