Midwest Litigator Becomes New BSX Gen. Counsel

Natick-based Boston Scientific Corp. has hired Timothy Pratt as the company's new general counsel.
Pratt's official title will be executive vice president, secretary and general counsel. He replaces Paul Sandman, who retired from the position in February after 14 years with the medical device manufacturer.
Before taking the Boston Scientific job, Pratt practiced pharmaceutical and medical device litigation at Shook, Hardy & Bacon, a 100-attorney law firm in Kansas City, Mo. Pratt's first day on the job at Boston Scientific will be May 1.
