Monster Employment Index: Activity stays level

The Monster Employment Index shows that demand for positions in the professional, scientific, and technical services field is still climbing, but last month's Index stayed flat at a level of 172.
The Index, an analysis of online job demand, showed that there is increased demand for workers in mining and utilities industries, an indication that there is a continued focus on expanding current natural resources and developing alternative energy resources.
Professional and technical services such as IT, design, software, advertising and marketing showed strong online job availability, as well as in healthcare, and in security and military-related positions.
Monster is headquartered in Maynard.
