Worcester-based Fallon Community Health Plan has appointed KAREN LONGO vice president. She will continue to serve as executive director for Summit ElderCare. Longo joined Fallon in 1985 and has held senior positions in sales, marketing and operations. Over the past three years, she has led the expansion of Summit ElderCare from a single site in Worcester to a multi-site program, with locations in Charlton, Leominster and a second site in Worcester scheduled to open later this year. LESLIE FISH, senior director of pharmacy services at FCHP, has been appointed to the legislative committee of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.

 

PAULINE FALLON has retired as assistant branch manager for Webster Five Cents Savings Bank. She started her career at Webster Five as a bank teller in 1966. She has held various managerial responsibilities.

MICHAEL PERRY has been appointed the new vice president for development and alumni relations at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. He succeeds Paul Sheff, who left the college earlier this year. For the past five years, he served as vice president for institutional advancement at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta.

Shrewsbury-based Chevalier Associates Inc. has hired LISA HADDAD as account executive. Chevalier Associates is the producer of The Original Wedding Expo and publishers of Bride & Groom Magazine. Haddad has more than 15 years of sales experience and recently owned and operated KaBloom in Grafton and Shrewsbury, a franchised florist.

Dr. JAIMEE DEMONE has joined the Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts group practice as a staff physician. She is a licensed obstetrician and gynecologist. DeMone completed her residency training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where she was chief administrative resident.

Dr. MICHELLE KELLIHER, associate professor of cancer biology at the UMass Medical School in Worcester, is among five researchers recently named Stohlman Scholars by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The award recognizes the researchers’ outstanding contributions to the advancement of blood cancer research. Kelliher’s research is focused on T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a form of pediatric blood cancer.

Westborough-based RedTail Solutions Inc. has named BOB GLEASON as president and CEO. Gleason, who most recently was the founder and CEO of Riverton Software and Riverton LLC, has held a variety of management positions in entrepreneurial high tech businesses offering logistics, software development tools, high-performance networked-based business applications and supply-chain integration solutions.

The accounting firm of Carlin, Charron & Rosen LLP in West-borough has promoted KIM BEAUCHAMP to principal in the operations department. Beau-champ is based in the accounting firm’s Westborough office and was previously director. She joined CCR in 2003 and has more than 20 years of accounting experience.

ANDREW ROLINGER, senior staff scientist with the Westborough office of O’Reilly, Talbot & Okun, an environmental engineering firm, has received an asbestos project monitor license from the Mass-achusetts Division of Occupational Safety.

The Massachusetts Bar Association announced its members serving as regional delegates in the MBA’s House of Delegates for the 2008- 2009 term. JAMES REARDON JR. of Reardon & Reardon in Worcester and JAMES VAN BUREN, attorney at law in Fitchburg, were appointed as delegates for Region 10, Worcester County.

IRMA THIBAULT recently retired from GFA Federal Credit Union following a 36-year career. She began her career in 1971 and held various positions within the credit union, most recently in the mortgage department.

The Colleges of Worcester Consortium Inc. has announced its newly elected board of directors: the Rev. MICHAEL MCFARLAND, president of College of the Holy Cross, board chair; JANELLE ASHLEY, president of Worcester State College, board past chair. Other new appointments within the board are: GAIL CARBERRY, president of Quinsigamond Community College; CHRISTIAN MCCARTHY, executive vice president for finance and administration for Assumption College; MICHAEL MALLOY, dean of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences; JANET BEGIN RICHARDSON, vice president for student affairs and campus life at Worcester Polytechnic Institute; and LINDA CARRE LOOFT, assistant vice president for government and community relations at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
