MICHAEL D. HEWITT of Fitchburg has been appointed senior vice president at Hometown Bank. He oversaw the merger of Athol-Clinton Cooperative Bank into Hometown Bank and the conversion of its Athol and Lancaster branches into Hometown Bank branches. Hewitt was previously chief operating officer at Fidelity Bank.
Littleton-based WaveMark Inc. founder, PATRICK LITTLEFIELD, is leaving the company and SABINA CHADHA has been hired as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Littlefield founded the health care supply chain company in 2003. He will continue to serve in an advisory role on the board of directors. Chadha comes to WaveMark from Aeroscout, where she worked in the health care division.
Weston Nurseries Inc. of Hopkinton has hired TOM STRANGFELD as a landscape designer. Strangfeld previously worked at Weston Nurseries for 30 years in various management roles including operations and commercial sales.
Westborough technology PR firm Rainier Communications has hired LAURA ACKERMAN as a senior account manager. Ackerman worked most recently as a freelance marketing consultant assisting on the social media strategy for the winning campaign of State Treasurer Steve Grossman. She has an MBA from Bentley College in Waltham and a bachelor’s in art history from Brandeis University in Waltham.
THOMAS M. FINOCCHIARO, GLEN MARSHALL and SARAH J. MAYER have joined Fitchburg-based Workers’ Credit Union. Finocchiaro, of Pepperell, has been hired as an investment representative in the Lunenburg office. He was previously a financial planner at AARP Financial in Tewksbury and has a bachelor’s degree from Providence College. Marshall has joined the credit union as a mortgage loan specialist. He has a bachelor’s degree from Middlesex Community College in Bedford and lives in Dunstable. Mayer, of Lunenburg, has joined the credit union as a mortgage specialist in its member information center.
MARGARET M. KIDDER has been named senior vice president of residential investment development lending at Fidelity Bank in Leominster. She was previously vice president and business banking officer for all of the bank’s branches. A resident of Ayer, she has a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in management from Emmanuel College in Boston.
Worcester-based AdCare Hospital has hired CAROL A. MCCARTHY as a community services representative, promoting addiction services in Worcester, Boston and Rhode Island. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College and an MBA from Boston University. McCarthy previously worked in sales and marketing positions in health care and advertising.
Marlborough-based United Solutions Inc. has hired DOUGLAS LEWANDA to provide software solutions for New England construction, property management and service businesses. Lewanda will provide training and customization services for Sage Timberline Office software. Since 1999 Lewanda has served as president of CFO Consulting in Farmington, Conn.
Walden Behavioral Care of Waltham has hired WALTER M. HENRITZE of Paxton as its chief financial officer. For the past two years, Henritze has served as interim CFO for the eating disorder treatment facility. He previously served as founder, president and CEO of Wave Inc. and ZMedia Group Inc., both of Framingham. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Clark University in Worcester.
Assuralliance, a statewide association of independent insurance agents, announced that MARK SWEENEY has been selected as the organization’s first executive director. Assuralliance has offices in Worcester and Sterling. During the past 13 years Sweeney has served as vice president of marketing for Plymouth Rock Assurance, which serves Massachusetts and Connecticut.
MICHELLE NEWCOMB of East Bridgewater has joined Worcester financial services firm Bartholomew & Co. Inc. as a vice president on the company’s municipal services team. Previously, Newcomb was a municipal calling officer and assistant vice president with Rockland Trust Company for six years. She is a graduate of Indiana University.
TD Bank of Boston has named EUGENE C. AMATO JR. of Northborough as a small business relationship manager in Boston. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as a commercial lender at Commerce Bank & Trust in Worcester. A native of Worcester, he is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
Marlborough-based St. Mary’s Credit Union announced that NEAL R. REARDON of Rutland has been hired as information technology manager. Reardon most recently served as a business system analyst at Digital Federal Credit Union in Marlborough. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fitchburg State University.
