New Money Source For Mass Med Tech Cos.
Yankee Equity Solution of Boston has launched a new $50 million private equity fund for Massachusetts medical technology companies.
The YES Medical Technology Fund will help profitable companies with revenues of at least $10 million and the potential to be number one or two in their target market to expand their commercialization efforts.
Medical technology entrepreneur John A. Williams will act as the fund's managing director.
Yankee Equity said the fund has the capacity to be more flexible and patient with companies than many private equity firms because all its capital comes from one source, allowing for less rigid institutional rules.
