Princeton-based nonprofit NEADS World Class Service Dogs announced a series of promotions, including a new board chair, just a month after marking the grand opening of the organization’s new $2.6-million breeding center.

Among the leadership changes is the appointment of Geoffrey Worrell of Wareham, as the nonprofit’s board chair. Worrell, who works at Mortgage Network, Inc. of Danvers, has served on the board since January 2021, according to a July 13 press release from NEADS.

At the same time, NEADS named Tyler Vincent of Florida as its inaugural veterans services specialist. A 21-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Vincent will be tasked in part with helping to increase the number of veterans the nonprofit serves.

Internally, NEADS promoted Cathy Zemaitis to chief development and programs officer. She previously served as director of development, according to her LinkedIn.

NEADS celebrated the grand opening of its new breeding center on June 11. The facility houses breeding, whelping, and early life care of its puppies, which are bred to be service dogs. The center can support up to 10 litters at a time, compared to only two in the old nursery.
