Rates on mortgages rise
Mortgage rates inched up across the nation last week as Bankrate.com reported the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate rose to 6.28 percent last week. Fifteen-year mortgages hit 6 percent, while five and one year adjustable rate mortgages rose to 6.13 and 6.02 percent respectively. Fifteen-year fixed rate mortgages fell to 6 percent.
