Raytheon To Build Army Flight Systems

Raytheon Co.'s Marlborough operation has been awarded a $7.5 million U.S. Department of Defense contract to build air traffic control systems.

The contract includes air traffic navigation, integration and coordination systems, as well as a base approach radar system. The systems will be built in Marlborough and are expected to be completed by Sept. 9 2010.

The systems will be used by the U.S Army at Fort Monmouth, N.J., the center of the Army's command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, sensors and reconnaissance systems.
