Perini Wins $170M In Iraq Contracts

Framingham-based construction firm Perini Corp. says it has been awarded $170 million in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contracts and contract additions to build overhead coverage systems and administration buildings in Iraq.

The contacts include three new task orders totaling $98.6 million for the design and construction of overhead coverage systems at military bases throughout Iraq.

In addition to the coverage systems, Perini was awarded a $28.5 million contract for the design and construction of an administration building at a base camp in Iraq. Earlier this year,

Perini received a $6.8 million order for work on a dining hall in the Baghdad area and a $35.7 million increase to an existing order for other similar work.
