A Crowley Drive site in Marlborough approved for an independent senior living community has sold for just over $4.6 million.

The buyer is Resort Lifestyle Communities of Lincoln, Neb., a builder of retirement communities nationwide. The firm has three such communities in New England today, two in Connecticut and one in Maine. A representative at Resort Lifestyle Communities didn't return a message seeking comment.

The Marlborough City Council approved a special overlay zoning district in April to allow for the proposed development. A special permit was approved in October.

The seller is a limited liability corporation registered to registered to Jon Delli Priscoli, the owner of Edaville Family Theme Park in Carver. Delli Priscoli sold another Marlborough property, a 44,000-square-foot office building at 250 Locke Drive, last fall for $24 million.

The sale closed Jan. 23.

The site at 90-92 Crowley Drive sits between a multi-tenant 100,000-square-foot office building on one side and a 68,000-square-foot facility for LFB Corp., a French biopharmaceutical company, on the other.

The 11-acre property was last assessed by the City of Marlborough at about $1.5 million.
