A Rhode Island software firm is relocating to Shrewsbury Street in Worcester, according to City Manager Michael V. O'Brien's office.
NeighborhoodScout.com, a search engine that helps people relocate by providing information on specific neighborhoods around the country, has two employees and plans to move to 86 Shrewsbury St. early next month.
The company is currently located in Woonsocket, R.I., and was founded in 2000. In addition to neighborhood information, the firm provides retail site selection and real estate investment advice.
NeighborhoodScout.com, which was founded by Clark University graduate Andrew Schiller, developed search technology that allows users to type in any of 50 criteria, such as "good schools" or "crime rate" in order to find a suitable neighborhood.
The company's Worcester office is across Shrewsbury Street from the Via Italian Table restaurant.
