Southborough Software Firm Boosts Earnings

ViryaNet Ltd. of Southborough made a third-quarter profit of $151,000 on revenue of $2.8 million, a 5.7 percent increase over the same period a year ago.
The company's profit a year ago was $71,000.
For the first nine months of the year, the company made a $561,000 profit on $8.5 million in revenue.
The company, which makes logistics management software, finished the quarter with cash and equivalents of $156,000 compared to $136,000.
