Telecom Systems Maker's Profits, Sales Rise
Hopkinton-based Valpey Fisher Corp. reported net earnings of $191,000 for the second quarter, a 40 percent increase over the same quarter last year.
The company reported revenues of $3.8 million for the quarter, which ended July 3, a 2.2 percent increase from a year ago.
The company, which makes subsystems for digital and optical telecommunications systems, said new orders were up 10 percent and that its backlog is slightly bigger than it was a year ago.
