Tesla showroom in Natick Mall could close

Tesla plans to close many of its retail locations, the electric vehicle automaker said Friday, which could include a location in the Natick Mall.
A worker in Natick said the store employees weren't aware yet whether their location will remain open. The store is a showroom, without any sales able to take place on site, as with a traditional larger dealership.
Tesla said it will be closing many of its stores in the next few months, with a small number of stores in high-traffic locations remaining open.
Tesla has three Massachusetts locations. In addition to Natick, the company operates locations at the Prudential Center in Boston and on Route 1 in Dedham.
