The Gov Kicks Off Organic Snacks

Today Gov. Deval Patrick is helping the Clinton bakery of Weetabix North America unveil its recently installed equipment to be used in making a new organic cereal bar line.
Patrick will join more than 100 other guests to inaugurate the new organic-certified equipment. The Clinton bakery has 250 employees.
Wheetabix cereal bar brands include Barbara's Bakery and Nature's Choice.
The company also has several other cereal bar products in the research and development phase that it will make in its bakeries, including the one in Clinton.
Weetabix North America is based in Clinton, and has bakeries in Petaluma, Calif. and Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. Its parent company is the The Weetabix Food Company in the United Kingdom.
