The Hartford gets new accounting chief

Beth Bombara, a 39-year-old Simsbury native has been promoted to senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller for The Hartford Financial Services Co. Bombara, formerly a senior manager with Deloitte & Touche and a partner at Arthur Andersen, joined The Hartford three years ago as a vice president. She has been deputy controller since 2005. She replaces 56-year-old Robert Price, who will continue working at the company on a reduced schedule.
