Thomson deals Prometric
Stamford-based Thomson Corp. said it has sold its testing and assessment division, Thomson Prometric, for $435 million to Educational Testing Service, the nonprofit that administers the SAT, GRE and other academic tests. Thomson Prometric provides professional and educational assessment tests for businesses and governments across a network of testing centers in 132 countries. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.
