TJX Dec. Sales Up 6 Percent

Framingham-based discount retailer TJX Cos. said its December sales reached $2.5 billion, an increase of 6 percent over the $2.3 billion the company brought in during December 2006.

Same store sales increased 3 percent compared to December 2006, which was in line with the company's expectations. The company said it had raised its earnings outlook for its fourth quarter to between 60 and 63 cents per share.

TJX operates T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Bob's Stores and others.
