Tool Firm Makes Move To Holliston

Medfield-based ESCO Tool has bought and refurbished a 60,000-square-foot building in Holliston to accommodate its growing business.

The manufacturer has been in Medfield since 1980 and needed to move to a larger building "in response to worldwide demand for our tools, which are used for maintaining and upgrading existing power facilities as well as for new construction," according to Matthew Brennan, the company's president.

ESCO makes portable tools for cutting and machining tube and pipe in preparation for welding in high-temperature and high-pressure applications.

The company's main customers are power plants. ESCO started business as the Evans Supply Co. in Winchester. Evans was purchased by the Brennan family in 1975.
