United Bank Foundation to grant $150K to cancer center

The United Bank Foundation of Massachusetts has approved a $150,000 grant to expand the Sister Caritas Cancer Center in West Springfield, the foundation announced Monday.
The $150,000 grant, which will be distributed by the foundation of the Worcester-based United Bank over the next five years, will go towards a $15-million expansion at the Sister Caritas Cancer Center that will centrally locate the oncology staff with a 26,000-square-foot expansion.
Since its inception, the foundation has granted nearly $2.6 million to nonprofits in the communities served by United Bank.
