Waters Corp. in Milford recorded an increase in sales of 10 percent, with Q3 sales hitting $301 million. In the same quarter last year, the firm noted $273 million in sales.
Earnings per diluted share (E.P.S.) on a GAAP basis were $0.49 in Q3, compared to $0.22 for the third quarter in 2005. On a non-GAAP basis, E.P.S. grew 26 percent to $0.54 in Q3 from $0.43 in the same quarter last year.
In the first nine months of the year, sales were recorded at $893 million, an 8 percent increase from the previous year's sales of $826 million. Likewise, E.P.S. grew over the first nine months by 23 percent on a non-GAAP basis, rising from $1.28 in 2005 to $1.57 in 2006.
Waters Corp. offers instrumentation, software, service and consumable products for the liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis markets.
