Waters finds partner in the Netherlands

Milford-based Waters Corp. has teamed up with Spark Holland in the Netherlands to co-market a new technology for clinical laboratories that automates sample processing and analysis.
The agreement will combine Waters Corp.'s mass spectrometers with software designed by Spark Holland. The package is designed to allow labs to analyze samples faster and at a lower cost.
This morning's announcement regarding Spark Holland comes a few weeks after the Milford company reported $79.9 million in earnings during the last three months of 2006, a 57 percent increase.
Sales were driven by a strong demand for lab equipment used in drug discovery and development.
