A Westborough firm operating four nursing homes in Massachusetts has purchased a 135-bed facility in Milford for $6.75 million.
The property that includes Vantage Health and Rehabilitation at Milford, a 50,447-square-foot facility built in 1992, was sold for $6.75 million by an entity managed by Azure Healthcare in Westborough, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records. That price may or may not have included the cost of purchasing the business.
Azure owns and operates Eliot Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Natick, Fall River Jewish Home, Sachem Center for Health & Rehabilitation in East Bridgewater, and Colony Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Abington. Combined, Azure’s four facilities have a total of 421 beds.
Vantage Health and Rehabilitation at Milford offers hospice, respite, and subacute care, including providing care for those with intellectual disabilities and multiple sclerosis, according to the website for the Massachusetts Senior Care Association.
Azure purchased the facility from an entity managed by Omega Healthcare Investors of Maryland. Omega is a real estate investment trust with a $10.8-billion portfolio featuring more than 900 healthcare properties, according to its website.
Located at 10 Veterans Memorial Drive, the Milford facility has been managed by Vantage Care, which manages four other facilities in Hampden, Westfield, Wakefield, and New Bedford. Vantage did not immediately return a message requesting information on whether it will continue to manage the facility, although the Milford location has been removed from Vantage Care’s listed facilities on its website.
Azure could not be reached for comment.
Featuring a one-story brick building on eight acres of land, the property at 10 Veterans Memorial Drive received a 2025 tax assessment value of $4.42 million, according to Town of Milford property records.
