Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray was at Mylec Sports Inc. in Winchendon today to announce a $353,993 Massachusetts Opportunity Relocation and Expansion (MORE) grant for infrastructure improvements near the company's planned new headquarters.
The Town of Winchendon will receive the grant, which will support a water supply expansion project in the Hillview Industrial Park, where Mylec is relocating from elsewhere in Winchendon.
The street hockey equipment manufacturer is relocating to a new, 40,000-square-foot facility in the park, and plans to break ground next month.
Infrastructure improvements will support the company's move, as well as the expansion of the industrial park in general.
The project is expected to create 20 full-time, permanent jobs and 14 seasonal jobs.
