Women's Group Honors Bowditch Partner

The Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus has honored a Worcester lawyer with its "Good Guy" award.
The MWPC said Louis Ciavarra, managing partner at Bowditch & Dewey , was chosen for the award for the firm's representation of Sophie Currier, a nursing mother who was denied extra break time to nurse during the National Board of Medical Examiners exam.
The "Good Guy" award is given to "men who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to achieving parity for women," the MWPC said. Along with Ciavarra, the organization is giving the award to former Gov. Paul Cellucci; Peter Meade, executive vice president of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts; and Robert Coard, presdient and CEO of ABCD of Boston.
