Worcester Biotech Firm Gets $13K Grant

Worcester biotech company ECI Biotech received a $13,000 grant from the state to provide funds to train employees.

The company, which makes sensors to detect pathogens that can be used in medicine, will use the funds to train its employees in quality control measures. The Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership is providing the training for ECI.

The grant is part of the Workforce Training Fund Express grant program, which provides funds for training employees at companies with fewer than 50 workers.
