Worcester Manufacturer Completes Move To Chilmark Street
The Worcester-based Cryogenic Institute of New England has completed its move to 78 Chilmark St. from its former location on Ellsworth Street.
The institute, which includes Nitrofreeze Cryogenic Services, bought the 78 Chilmark St. property just off Shrewsbury Street in April and spent three months renovating it. It moved its offices to the new location in July.
The 5,000-square-foot facility includes new laboratory space, dedicated production areas for medical and other sensitive components and has been built out as a lean manufacturing space.
Plans for a bulk liquid nitrogen delivery system are in the works and should be complete by the end of the year.
Nitrofreeze uses very cold temperatures to treat, clean and remove imperfections from a variety of manufactured components from plastic and machined parts.
