WSC Trustee To Lead New England Board Of Higher Ed

The New England Board of Higher Education has chosen Michael K. Thomas, a trustee of Worcester State College, as its new president and CEO.

Thomas served as interim president and CEO of NEBHE since January. Before that, he was the nonprofit's senior vice president, directing its policy, research and programmatic activities. He has worked for NEBHE since 2002, holding several different titles.

He has a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Brigham Young University, a master's degree in higher education from Teachers College at Columbia University, a doctorate in education and social policy from Harvard and an MBA from Boston University.
