Fallon Community Health Plan of Worcester has appointed Dr. Seth M. Lewin as senior medical director.
Lewin, who previously served as corporate medical director for Alicare Medical Management Inc., will run the health plan's utilization and care management areas and quality programs. He will also oversee member relations and work with FCHP's contracted providers.
In the past, Lewin has served as a senior clinical consultant for McKesson Inc., a medical operations consultant at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, a clinical resource consultant for the CMS Program Safeguard Contractor at Safeguard LLC, a division of Electronic Data Systems Inc.
Lewin has a bachelor's degree in biology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed residency programs in medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital and in ambulatory medicine at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital.
Lewin lives in Nedham with his wife, Lynn. They have two grown daughters and one grandchild.
