Poll Description

In June, the median single-family home price in Worcester County rose by 2.6% to $513,000 while the median home price in Middlesex County climbed by 2.2% to a $905,000. These increased prices have not deterred buyers, as the counties saw a 10.8% and a 6.2% increase in transactions over-the-year from last June, respectively.

Despite the increase in sales, Massachusetts is experiencing an unhealthy house-price-to-income ratio, with the typical home in Massachusetts costing six times the average annual household income, according to The Boston Globe.
