“Playing the game,” as it's called, can be unpleasant for many in the workplace.
Sometimes they're called strategy sessions or one-on-ones; other times, executive staff meetings or project reviews. They are all meetings, and can likely be more effective — even for the best leaders among us.
10. Phone interview first
Have a handful of questions you can ask over the phone before the candidate comes in. This can weed out a few candidates before you spend precious time in an interview setting.

10. Don't trust uniforms. Wearing shirts with company logos on them can be enough to gain access to restricted areas. Verify that visitors really are who they say they are.
It's a lousy situation for all involved: the employees being told they're losing their jobs — those close to them who may rely on that income as well — and the manager who has to deliver the news.

Introduce people to one another and get them to connect through common goals (even if it's in thinking their group fitness instructor is the devil).
Feeling listless, uninspired, unmotivated? A lack of sleep — let's say if you're working on a big project, multitasking and dealing with a grueling corporate travel schedule — can be the perfect recipe for work burnout.
Marketing a product or service on the web through social media is equally important as advertising and helps business exposure on a scale that traditional advertising cannot do.
If content is the lifeblood of your business, especially content you create, you want to protect your investment of time and money you put into creating it.
